A car accelerates (at a constant acceleration) from a velocity of 25m/s to 34m/s in 6s. Calculate the cars acceleration.

Acceleration is defined as

A = change in velocity / time,

For this example

A = (34-25 )/ 6 = 9/6 = 1.5 m/s^2
