What does the periodic table show you?

The periodic table arranges all the different elements into columns and rows, The horizontal rows are called periods, this is where the elements differ from left to right but the addition of an electron to their outer shells. The vertical columns are called groups, elements in the same group behave similarly as they have the same amount of outer electrons in their outershells. Their are 8 groups from left to right with groups 2 and 3 housing the transitionmetals.

50.0 g of propene reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce 1-chloropropane. Calculate the percentage yield if only 54.0g is made.

Why does increasing the concentration of a reactant increase the rate of reaction?

Begin to explain some trends across a period of the periodic table.

propene and steam react to form propan-2-ol. If the yield is 75% what mass of propene is required to produce 410g of propane-2-ol. [molar masses/gmol-1 propene=42, propan-2-ol =60]
