This question is about understanding how reactions happen, what it means for something to react and the factors controlling reactions. Here it is important to know that for a reaction to happen particles must collide. It is also important to know that the movements of particles are related to the energy, or temperature, of these particles. Therefore an increased temperature would mean an increased movement of the individual particles. This means the rate of reaction would increase due to the increased number of collisions. This ultimately means that more particles have energy greater than the activation energy. Example answer:

Increasing temperature increases the rate of reaction because particles are able to move faster, therefore increasing the frequency of collisions between particles. This means more particles have energy greater than the activation energy.
