what is: a) 1/3 +1/4 ? b) 4/6 + 3/12?

a)First make the denominators the same by multiplying the 1/3 by 4 and 1/4 by 3. makesure top and bottom are multiplied then add the numerators together not denominators. answer should be 7/12. b) Do the same method as before so multiply 4/6 by 12 on the top and bottom an multiply 3/12 by 6 top and bottom then add together and simplify. alternative method multiply 4/6 by 2 on the top an bottom then add together. answer should be 11/12.
