What determines the frequency of oscillation of a (loaded) spring?

The frequency is reduced by:

- Adding extra mass (greater 'm'): This is because the extra mass increases the inertia of the system

- Using weaker springs (smaller 'k'): The restoring force of the object at any given displacement would be less
