Tell us something that you are interested in doing in your free time and why.

I am really interested in working voluntary, which is something I have done many times. Lately, I worked voluntary as an English teacher through the Hellenic Red Cross in Greece. My main duties were to teach English to refugee children and provide them assistance where needed. Working with people facing difficult circumstances, helped me to learn how to handle delicate situations in a professional manner, and stay calm in stressful and unpredictable situations. Those children have been a rich source of inspiration to sharpen my skills, challenging my abilities to be resilient and take initiatives while handling a diverse group of students. During that time, I tried to empower those children to achieve more and inspire them to have a strong drive in whatever they want to do in their lives. Through volunteering, I saw a different point of life and appreciated the importance of being culturally sensitive, while keeping in mind that many had some seriously traumatic experiences and a high level of discretion was required.
