Describe the structure of proteins

Proteins are amino acid polymers, joined by peptide bonds which are formed via condensation reactions. The primary structure is the order of amino acids, secondary structure is the folding of polypeptide chains via hydrogen bonding and the teritary structure is the 3D structure of the protein as consequence to hydrogen bonding as welll as ionic and disulphide bonds. Finally the quaternary structure is defined as 2 or more polypetide chains.
