Describe and explain the reactivity trend of the Group 2 elements

The group 2 elements become more reactive down the group. This is because the atomic radius increases down the group as there are more energy levels. There is also more shielding from inner energy levels going down the group. These factors result in a decrease in nuclear attraction, which reduces the first and second ionisation energies.

Briefly discuss Le Chatelier's Principle. Ammonia is made in the Haber Process (3H2(g) + N2(g)<-> 2NH3(g)). Using Le Chetelier's Principal, what happens to the equilibrium yield of ammonia when...: A) Temp increases, B) Press increases C) Catalyst changes

Bethan prepared some ethoxyethane (line 6) by reacting ethanol with concentrated sulfuric acid. She used 69g of ethanol (Mr=46) and obtained a 45% yield of ethoxyethane (Mr=74). Calculate the mass of ethoxyethane obtained.

Explain the trend in first ionisation energy along period 3

A 1000 cm3 container of ammonia (NH3) has a mass of 20.7g, it is stored at room temperature (298 K). When empty the container has a mass of 20.0 g, calculate the pressure inside the container in kPa to an appropriate number of significant figures.
