What is condensation polymerisation ?

Polymerisation is defined as the process of bringing individual molecules, called monomers, together to form chains of these molecules called polymers. When this process is done with molecules containing double bonds, this is called addition polymerisation. When this process is done with 2 different functional groups to produce a polymer chain and a small molecule, this is called condensation polymerisation. The 2 different functional groups are able to react with each other which is what produces the small molecule. The most basic condensation polymerisation involves 2 monomers each containing 2 of the same functional groups which can then react with each other.

A student titrates 25.00 cm3 of hydrochloric acid with 28.60 cm3 sodium hydroxide solution of concentration 0.200 moles per dm3. The equation for the reaction is: HCl + NaOH to NaCl + H2O. Calculate the concentration of the hydrochloric acid.

25cm3 NaOH was titrated with 0.05mol dm-3 HCl. 21.5m3 of HCl neutralised 25cm3 of NaOH. What is the concentration of NaOH in mol dm-3?

What is the difference between ionic and covalent bonding

Calculate the atom economy of the following equation, assuming that KNO3 is the desired product. KOH + HNO3 ---> KNO3 + H2O (Mr of reactants and products, KOH - 56.1, HNO3 - 63.0, KNO3 - 101.1, H2O - 18.0)
