Solve (x+1)/3+(2x+5)/4=2

  1. Identify a common denominator4(x +1)/12 + 3(2x + 5)/12 (= 2)2. Expand both brackets(4x + 4)/12 + (6x +15)/12 = 23. Multiply out the denominator4+ 4 + 6+ 15 = 12× 24. X's on one side, numbers on the other4+ 6= 24 −15 − 410x = 55. Solve 10x = 13 for xx=5/10x = 0.5VOALA! :)
