Describe a single covalent bond in terms of the electron distribution of the atoms involved.

Atoms involved in a covalent bond will share ​a pair of electrons in order to acheive a full outer shell in both atoms. Each atom will donate a single electron to the bond, which will then orbit both atoms simultaneously.
