What are the key differences between meiosis and mitosis? Give an example of when mitosis may be used

Mitosis is used for asexual reproduction and produces 2 identical daughter cells which will have the smallest number of chromosomes as the parent cell, whereas meiosis is used in sexual reproduction and produces 4 genetically different daughter cells which will have half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell. Also, meiosis involves 2 cellular division events whereas in mitosis there is only one.Mitosis is often used in repair/cell replacement in the body/cell growth/ most processes ASIDE FROM sexual gamete production.
