How are proteins made?

In the nucleus, DNA helicase breaks hydrogen bonds between the bases on DNA causing the DNA strand to unwind. The template strand acts as a template for mRNA production during which complimentary nucleotides attach to exposed bases by specific base pairing rule. DNA polymerase forms phosphodiester bonds between adjacent RNA nucleotide. When a stop codon has been reached the DNA polymerase detaches and the pre-mRNA strand gets splices to remove the introns (which are the non-coding section of DNA). The mRNA strand exits the nucleus from the nucleus pores and is attracted towards a ribosome which has favourable enviroments to bring a codon and anti codon together. Condensation reaction forms peptide bonds between amino acids. this amino acid chain detaches and goes to the golgi apparatus where it's sorted, packages and transported to the parts of the cell where that specific protein is required.
