What does it mean to "complete the square"?


Simplify: 3(x+5)-4(2x+1)


The area of a parallelogram is given by the equation 2(x)^2+7x-3=0, where x is the length of the base. Find: (a) The equation of the parallelogram in the form a(x+m)^2+n=0. (b) The value of x.


There is a right angled triangle, you know the length of the hypotenuse (6) and one other side (3), can you calculate the third side of the triangle?
