What are the types of accents?

In spanish, there are three types of accents: stressed accent (prosódico), ortographic accent (ortográfico) and diacritic accent (diacrítico). The stressed accent is used for pronunciation only, it is never written but helps one know which is the tonic syllable of the word. The ortographic accent is written above the vowels, there can only be one accent in the word and there are some rules on how to accentuate the words. Lastly, the diacritic accent is worn by monosyllabic words to help differentiate the meaning between the pair of wors. For example mi (possesive adjective) and mí (personal pronoun); tu (possesive adjective) and tú (personal pronoun); te (personal propnoun) and te (tea, noun); de (preposition) and de (verb "dar", to give); el (definite article) and él (personal pronoun); mas (conjunction, which means "but") and más (addition, comparative adverb); se (personal pronoun) and sé (verb; 1st person of singular, verb "saber"- to know- or second person of singular, imperative mode, verb "ser"- to be-)
