What factors change the rate of diffusion? (3) and what is the relationship between these factors? (1)

Temperature - The higher the temperature the faster the movement of particles so there is an increased rate of diffusion and conversely lowering the temperature decreases the rate of diffusionConcentration gradient - the greater the difference in concentration between where the particle is initially to where it is moving the faster the rate of diffusion which means that the rate of diffusion will drop as the reaction continuesSurface area of membrane - a higher surface area means there is more space for the particles to move through which will increase rate of diffusion
rate of diffusion = k((surface area * concentration difference)/ thickness of membrane))
