Write š‘„Ā²+6š‘„+11 in the form (š‘„+a)²+b.

This question wants you to "complete the square". To start this question we put a = (coefficient of x)/2 = 6/2 = 3.So far we have š‘„Ā²+6š‘„+11 = (š‘„+3)²+b. We now need to find b. We can expand and simplify the right hand side to get š‘„Ā²+6š‘„+11 = š‘„Ā²+6š‘„+9+b. We should now be able to see that b=2. So š‘„Ā²+6š‘„+11 = (š‘„+3)²+2.
