What is the difference between sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction?

Sexual reproduction involves the fusing of 2 gametes (male and female). This results in a variety of offspring as the genetic information is mixed.

Asexual reproduction requires only1 parent. Offspring are all genetic clones as there is no variation
