Using the % yield calculation (please state), what is the percentage yield for the reaction of calcium oxide with water to produce calcium hydroxide if the theoretical yield is 4.0g but only 1.5g is produced?

The equation for percentage yield is as follows:% yield = ([Actual mass of product obtained]/[Maximum theoretical mass]) x 100Therefore using this equation, we can obtain the % yield by inputting the actual mass of product obtained as "1.5", and the maximum theoretical mass as "4.0":% yield = (1.5/4.0) x 100 = 37.5%
