How should I revise for my A-level exams? What is the best preparation?

This is different for everyone, and the best way to learn the most effective way for revision is to implement this throughout the school year. Keep up to date with your notes and practice different types of revision methods for practice exams and questions in school. Mind-maps are a great idea, as well as timelines and copying/ re-writing your notes. Also consider looking at the mark scheme in order to get to grips with what the markers are really looking for when it comes to writing a top answer! Time yourself and do practice papers/ look through the past papers avaliable online so that you can see the kinds of questions commonly asked for your topic. Finally, if you have time it can be a great idea to do practice questions under timed conditions and give this to your teacher to mark as your exam draws closer.
