Firstly, rearrange the equation to group the 'x' terms together, and the 'y' terms together.x^2 + 6x + y^2 -8y = 24'Complete the square' on each of the x and y groups:(x + 3)^2 - 9 + (y - 4)^2 - 16 = 24Rearrange to standard form(x + 3)^2 + (y - 4)^2 = 49 = 7^2 Which is the equation of a circle radius 7, centre (-3, 4)
