How do you structure an answer when describing a process such as the Kreb's Cycle?

Work chronologically, as you go through each step ask yourself, what, why , where , how questions? What is involved? - Pyruvic acid is converted to Acetly co-enzyme AWhy does it react?/ What conditions are necessary for this reaction to occur? - Oxygen is present at this stageWhere does this happen? - The lumen of the mitochondria How is Acetyl Co-enzyme A formed? - CO2 and 2 Hydrogen atoms are removed from pyruvic acid (pyruvate)Where do these by-products go?- CO2 is excreted, the Hydrogen atoms are picked up by NAD+ (electron carrier)What does this form?- NADHWhere do the electrons goo after being picked up by NADH? - They are passed along the electron transport systemWhat is produced? - Adenosine Triphosphate ( ATP) How much ATP is produced?- 3 molecules of ATP for every pair of HWhat happens at the end of the transport chain? - The last carrier is oxygen which when combined with the H atoms will form waterWhere does Acetyl Co- Enzyme A move to after being produced? - Enters Kreb's cycleWhat is Kreb's Cycle? - A series of chemical reactions that releases CO2 and pairs of Hydrogen Atoms and CO2
