Complete the square of X^2 + 4X - 12

X^2 + 4X - 12X^2 + yX + z(x + a)^2 + ba = y/2a = 4/2 = 2b = z - a^2b = -12 -2^2 = -16Therefore: x^2 + 4x - 12 = (x+2)^2 - 16
