Describe and explain how increasing concentration of a reactant changes the rate of reaction.

When you increase the concentration of a reactant, there are more reactant particles in a given volume of space. Consequently, there will be more collisions between the particles in a given amount of time. Since particles must collide for a reaction to occur, this will increase the rate of reaction.
