(a^2 x a^n)/ a^6 = a^3. what is the value for n?

Think of your rules of indices! The powers of the two a terms that are multiplied are ADDED. When divided the powers are SUBTRACTED. This means you can form an equation2 + n - 6 = 3therefore n = 7
