Blood glucose concentration is monitored and controlled by the pancreas (1 Mark)If blood glucose is too high then the Pancreas produces the hormone Insulin (1 Mark)From beta cells (1 Mark)This results in glucose to move from the blood to the cells (1 Mark)In Liver and Muscle Cells excess glucose is stored as Glycogen (1 Mark)If Blood glucose concentration it too low glucagon is produced (1 Mark)Which causes Glycogen to be converted to Glucose (1 Mark)And released into the bloodstream (1 Mark). Glucagon interacts with Insulin in a negative feedback cycle (1 Mark)
