Find the next three terms of the sequence 17, 14.5, 12, 9.5

To find the next three terms of the sequence, we first need to work out the pattern.The difference between the first two terms is 17 - 14.5 = 2.5The difference between the second and the third term is 14.5 - 12 = 2.5 We can see that the difference is the same each time but we should check the difference between the third and fourth term to be sure. The difference between the third and fourth term is 12 - 9.5 = 2.5.Now we can be sure that the pattern of the sequence is to subtract 2.5 each time, so we can use this to work out the next three terms. 9.5 - 2.5 = 7, so the fifth term is 77 - 2.5 = 4.5, so the sixth term is 4.5 4.5 - 2.5 = 2, so the seventh term is 2.Therefore, the next three terms of the sequence are 7, 4.5 and 2.
