What tips would you give when revising for History exams?

As well as learning key dates, facts and issues, a really important revision tip would be to go over past paper questions where you can get access to them. The benefit of this is to enable you to think about the questions and issues form different perspectives so that you can gain a better understanding for what may come up and draft answers. 

Of course, it is important to remmeber that in an exam you MUST answer the question put in from of you, and not a similar question that you have already planned out. But planning questions in advance will enable you to think through different scenarios so that hopefully, essay planning during the exam, where you have limited gtime, will be made more easy.
