What is the name of the mechanism where bromoethane is produced from ethene?

Nitric acid (HNO3) is a strong acid. Ethanoic acid (CH3COOH) is a weak acid. Write an equation to show how ethanoic acid behaves as a weak acid in its reaction with water.

Describe the changes in equilibrium of ethanol production from ethene and water (enthalpy of reaction is ∆H = - 46 kJ/mol) when: (a) a high pressure is applied; (b) ethanol concentration is increased; (c) temperature is increased; (d) a catalyst is used.

Excess KCN(aq) is added to a solution of [Co(H2O)6]2+. Identify the complex ion formed and predict its shape and charge.
