Find where the graph of y=3x^2+7x-6 crosses the x axis

At the point where the line crosses the x axis, y=0

3x^2+7x-6=0

(3x-2)(x+3)=0

3x-2=0 or x+3=0

giving x=2/3 and x=-3

so the line crosses the x axis at (2/3,0) and (-3,0)

A curve has parametric equations x=t(t-1), y=4t/(1-t). The point S on the curve has parameter t=-1. Show that the tangent to the curve at S has equation x+3y+4=0.

Find the x co-ordinates of the stationary points of the graph with equation y = cos(x)7e^(x). Give your answer in the form x = a +/- bn where a/b are numbers to be found, and n is the set of integers.
