Expand and simplify (x+6)(x-6)

The first step is to expand the expression. This can be done using the FOIL method. This means that we multiply the First, Outside, Inside and Last terms in the bracket.First: x . x = x2Outside: x . -6 = -6xInside: 6 . x = 6xLast: 6 . -6 = -36Now we have multiplied the brackets out, we need to add all the terms together.= x+ (-6x) + 6x - 36Now we simplify:= x2-36
