What are the key differences between plant and animal cells?

There are several important differences between plant and animal cells that will be key to remember in the exam. Namely:

- Plant cells have a rigid cell wall whereas animal cells have a cell membrane 
- Plant cells contain large vacuoles in their cytoplasm whereas animal cells may only contain small vacuoles in their cytoplasm<o:p></o:p>

- Plant cells contain chloroplasts to perform photosynthesis whereas animal cells will not.<o:p></o:p>

- Animal cells contain centrioles whereas plant cells do not. <o:p></o:p>
