Who was Stalin?

Josef Stalin was born on December 18th, 1878, in Georgia. As a youth, Stalin was a bank robber turned political activist. In 1922, Stalin was appointed to the office of General Secretary of the Communist Party. This role gave Stalin control over every aspect of the Communist party. Eventually, nearly every significant member in the party, owed their position to Stalin.
