A pizza has a radius of 12cm. Calculate the area of the pizza in cm² , giving your answer as a multiple of π.

So for this question you would need to know the formula for the area of a circle. This is Area = πr^2. In this formula, r = the radius. We are given the radius in the question. So all we need to do is put our value for r, which is 12, in to the formula. So we get: Area = π*12^2 Now we are able to calculate the area. So 12^2 is equal to 144. The question has asked for the answer to be given in terms of π. Therefore the answer to this question is 144π as we need to multiply 144 by π.
