FInd the values of x for the following equation holds: x^2-5x+6=0

  1. Factorise

(x-3)(x-2) =0

Therefore  x-3=0, x=3. Also x-2=0, x=2.

Work Out (2+11/15 )-(1+1/3)

= (30/15+11/15) - (3/3+1/3) = (41/15)-(4/3) = (41/15)-(20/15) = (21/15) = (7/5)

Can two shelves of 0.72 meters long each store 50 30mm wide textbooks?

First, convert the units so you can compare more easily. 

0.72m = 72cm = 720mm

So 1 shelf is 720mm and 1 textbook is 30mm wide.
