Differentiate sin(x)cos(x)

let sin(x)=u , let cos(x)=v

du/dx = cos(x),   dv/dx = -sin(x)

d[sin(x)cos(x)]/dx = v.du/dx + u.dv/dx

= cos^2(x) - sin^2(x)
