The results are in… The MyTutor Awards 2024

Much like the Oscars or the Golden Globes are for actors, the MyTutor Awards are the most prestigious honour a tutor can win!

Each year we ask our parents and students to put forward nominations for their favourite tutors, with winners chosen by our esteemed judges to win a prize.

With tutoring supporting more than just grades, it’s always moving to hear just how much our tutors are building confidence and helping students to love their subjects.

So without further ado… We’re excited to introduce you to our winners! (Drum roll please… 🥁🥁🥁)

The winners of the 2024 MyTutor Awards are:

There were so many standout nominations proving how many of our tutors truly go above and beyond for their students. Meet our winners…

Winners: Top private tutor awards

Jasmine C., German and Geography, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, 🏆

“She always responds promptly to our messages. She is organised and explains things well. She provides homework on a weekly basis and always gives thorough feedback after each lesson, explaining what topics were covered, what aspects went well, what areas need further work on and she always has a plan for the next lesson.

She is patient and friendly, and we think she always goes over and beyond what is expected on MyTutor. We’re super happy that she tutors our son and in short she is utterly brilliant and we think a worthy winner of the MyTutor Award.” – VG

Faith O., Biology and Chemistry, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, 🏆

“After 2 months of tutoring with Faith O. my son’s teacher said to him, “I don’t know what you’re doing but keep it up”.

My son feels more confident in Biology and Chemistry after working with Faith. I really appreciate the written report she provides to me after each session. It’s clear that she has a great grasp on the subjects, prepares for the lessons and overall is a GREAT tutor.

My son never complains about his lessons (even when it means coming off a video game for his lesson)…I attribute that to the fact that Faith creates a positive and encouraging learning environment that keeps my son’s interest and makes him feel good about his ability to learn.

His year 10 end of year report reflected an increase in his grades and as we head into his last year of GCSE’s we are going to continue his tutoring with Faith to ensure he is positioned to be successful in his GCSE final exams.” – Tasha

Emily J., Biology, Psychology, English and Maths, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, 🏆

“The difference is night and day! My niece had zero confidence with her GCSE Maths. We knew it was going to be a stretch target with regards to passing. But Emily and her magic fairy dust enabled my niece to pass her GCSE Maths.

She was crying her eyes out this morning, we all were! We are so happy!! This absolutely, categorically would not have happened if we hadn’t used My Tutor and the fabulous Emily. I cannot stress how grateful we are.” – Alison J.

Anjie S., Psychology and Sociology, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, 🏆

“I have come to the end of my first year at uni, and being someone that has dyslexia, I did not think it was possible to ever get my degree. There are times when I felt like giving up, but I have to write an honest review and recommend Anjie.

Her tutoring has helped me in ways I cannot even describe. She honestly takes the time to listen to what a student is trying to explain and get across and where they need help or they are struggling. My attention span is not the greatest, but again Anjie’s in depth detailed feedback she always gives, allows me to correct my work where I have gone wrong.

I would never have been able to achieve getting through the 1st year of my psychology degree without her. I would recommend anyone that needs tutoring to contact her.” – Chantelle, student
