What is De Moivre's theorem?

De Moivres theorem states that e^j(theta) = cos (theta) +jsin (theta) and this can be used to convert powered trig functions to the form of regular sines and cosines (i.e. sin^3(x) into a sum of terms including sin(3x), sin(2x) etc.)

The curve C has equation y = x^3 - 2x^2 - x + 9, x > 0. The point P has coordinates (2, 7). Show that P lies on C.

Find the equation of the tangent to the curve y = (5x+4)/(3x -8) at the point (2, -7)

Differentiate 3x^(3/4)
