Integrate natural Log x

Take the integral as 1 x ln(x) instead of just ln(x). Use integration by parts giving two terms, the first is now just xln(x) and the second is the integral of 1 dx. This is easy to integrate giving the final answer as xln(x) -x + c.

The curve, C has equation y = 2x^2 +5x +k. The minimum value of C is -3/4. Find the value of k.

Simplify fully: (5 +√7)/ (2+√7)

The quadratic equation x^2 + 4kx+2(k+1) = 0 has equal roots, find the possible values of k.
