Solve 4x^2 - 3x - 4 = 0

There are two different methods of solving this equation and it is important to find the method that you find easiest.

The first method is to split up the numbers and the letters on both sides of the equation. The second methods is to factorise the equation.

(2x+1)(2x-4) = 0 x=-0.5 or +2
