F ind all values of x in the range 0° <= x <= 180° satisfying tan(x+45°)= 8tan(x)

tan(x)+tan(45)/1-tan(x)tan(45) = 8tan(x)

8tan2(x)-7tan(x)+1=0

tan(x)=0.6952 or 0.1798

x = arctan(0.6952) = 34.8070 deg and arctan(0.1798) = 10.1932 deg

Find f''(x), Given that f(x)=5x^3 - 6x^(4/3) + 2x - 3

I've been told that I can't, in general, differentiate functions involving absolute values (e.g. f(x) = |x|). Why is that?

f(x) = x^3 + 3x^2 + 5. Find f'(x) and f''(x).
