A fish tank is a cuboid. The length, width and height are 30cm, 20cm and 10cm respectively. The original price of the fish tank is £280. During a sale, the price reduces by 35%. Q1) Work our the volume of the fish tank. Q2) Work out the sale price.

A1) Volume= Length x Width x Height 30cmx20cmx10cm 6000cm^3 A2) 10% of £280 = £280/10 = £28 30% (3x10%) of £280 =£28 x 3= £84 5% (10%/2) of £280 = £28/2 = £14 35% = 30% + 5% = £84 + £14 = £98 £280 - £98 = £182.
