When thinking about migration, there are push and pull factors. Good idea to give one pull factor, and one push factor.
ANSWERING THE QUESTION:Pull factor: better jobsPush factor: poor healthcare
AN EXAMPLE OF A BAD ANSWER:In some countries in the EU there is poor healthcare, which means people migrate to other countries. There are also better opportunities for employment in other countries, which is why some people migrate too.
A GOOD ANSWER INCORPORATES PLACES AND EXAMPLES:
Show off your knowledge!State the factor. Give an example.
A pull factor for migration within the EU is the perceived notion that there are more jobs in certain countries. For example, in 2004, when the EU expanded, many Eastern European individuals from countries such as Poland migrated to the United Kingdom, in the hope that they would find employment. A push factor for migration in the EU could be poor healthcare. In countries such as Romania, healthcare services are limited and less efficient than the systems which are in place in other countries, such as the NHS in the UK.
