What exams will I need to take to complete my A level in Arabic and what is examined?

The complete qualification consists of two exams - an AS-level exam and an A2-level exam. In both exams you will be asked to complete a variety of exercises including translation from and to Arabic, reading comprehension exercises, synonyms and antonyms, and most importantly, short and long essay-style questions. For example, you will be prompted with a list of potential topics to explore and you will have the option to select two of these topics to delve into. The style of writing and format is not necessarily dictated in the questions and creativity is certainly rewarded but it is important to maintain a clear structure throughout to ensure your answer flows and the message is clear. Practice is key for this exam so it's a good idea to put pen to paper well ahead of time!
