Fartlek Training is a type of continuous training that involves varying speeds, inclines and terrains meaning intensity changes throughout the workout. It is used mainly by games players e.g. HockeyAn advantage of this type of training is that the division between anaerobic and aerobic can be tailored to suit the performer and replicate game conditions to maximise performance.A disadvantage is that varying inclines and terrains can be hard to come across in urban areas meaning this type of training is restricted to your available surroundings.
