How do I get started in my EPQ?

I'd say to make a plan for yourself. You want to ensure that you stick to your chosen topic and not digress; you only have 5000 words so you want to keep it subject specific! Write out your question on a paper in front of you, and highlight what you think the key words in the question are. My EPQ was titled "How far do the morals and ethics found in the Abrahamic religions influence viewpoints held on abortion?", so I highlighted "morals", "ethics", "Abrahamic religions" and "abortion". I then researched, and branched out from my central question (like a spider diagram) to write down what I read about those words.Once you have that done, you can start thinking about how many words you want your abstract to be, intro, main body (with different subheadings) and conclusion. After all of this, your basic skeleton will be complete - now all you need to do is add to it, or remove what you think might be unrelated. Then start writing!
