What is the difference between compounds elements and atoms etc..?

This can be such a confusing topic and something that I struggled with but once you get it, it makes so much sense. The best way for me to learn these was using flashcards so if that's something you want to do, we can go over them at the end. So, an ELEMENT is something that is on the periodic table e.g. copper or magnesium or nitrogenan ATOM is one unit of the element e.g. one atom of copper or two atoms of hydrogen A COMPOUND is when two elements are mixed together and become something else e.g. two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen make H2O (water) A MOLECULE is similar to an atom, in that it is a unit of something, but this time it is a unit of a compound so e.g. one molecule of H2O or one molecule of CuSO4 Does this all make sense? We can go over some questions now to make it clearer for you or go over any parts that didn't quite make sense!
