What does the admission's officer NOT want to read about?

YOU. This is not a motivational essay for an American university. This is a personal statement. The admission's officer will not be interested in reading anything that does not have in some way to do with the subject that you want to study. If you have any personal hobbies and/or ideas and/or experiences that you feel you would like to share as they make you a well rounded person, remember that is not necessarily what they look for in a personal statement. You can still do that, but the trick is to somehow relate it to something that has to do with the subject material. Anything can be made relevant with a little imagination, but remember not to overdo it. Another thing that an admission's officer does not want to read is fiction. Don't lie, especially if you are applying for an institution that has an interview. They could always demand proof of you having achieved something in your conditional offer.
