How do you form the imperfect subjuctive?

You take the present active infinitive of the verb, which is the part of the verb that means "to do something" and you add on the endings -m, -s, -t, mus, -tis, -nt. For example, the first person of the imperfect subjunctive of the word to carry would be portarem.
