What is the nth term of the sequence 5, 7, 9, 11....

Difference between each number is +2Therefore the sequence is 2n + C
When n = 1 the value is (2x1) + C = 2 + C = 5C = 36
nth term is 2n + 3
CHECK
3rd term should be (2x3) + 3 = 6 + 3 = 9 Which is correct

Solve 4(x-5)=18

y is inversely proportional to d^2. When d = 10, y = 4. d is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 2, d = 24. Find a formula for y in terms of x. Give your answer in its simplest form.
